Fun in the patch with COUSINS!!!

Mabey's Pumpkin Patch--
We had the great opportunity of spending most of October in my families pumpkin patch. The weather was great and the kids had SOOOO much fun. This is the patch. Here is Daphne, she is "King of the World." She would climb up and say that over and over again. Ryker would just play with the straw.

Here we are just after we loaded the wagon to take into the patch. Most of the people went out in the field with the wagons to pick their pumpkins. We planted 5 acres of pumpkins this year.

I think the kids could ride in the wagons all day. They loved the "bumpy ride."

Madison and Daphne
At first they would run from one end of the field to the other. Their were so many things for them to explore.

The first wagon ride of the year. Daphne with some of her cousins. Daphne had a very traumatic experience that made it hard for her to get back on. While they were out one of the pumpkins fell off. Who knows why that was so disturbing for her but it was. We would have to do a lot of convincing to get her back on the wagon after that.

Pretending to drive the tractor. This was another favorite especially for Daphne, Jacob and Madison. We got grease on many outfits as they would make their way to the seat. They could climb on and off by themselves.

Playing on the big pile of pumpkins. I love taking pictures with the kids sitting on these big piles after we have just loaded the wagon. They were climbing all over the place.

We LOVED the weather this year. It was so nice to be able to be in the patch without big coats all the time. Here are the kids playing at dusk. They would walk around holding hands all the time.

Daphne, Jacob and Madison hugging a pumpkin. They wanted their picture with many pumpkins that night.

Ryker and Jacob
The two boy grand kids that live in Utah. We sure do miss our cousins that live away.

Our play group halloween party

Our play group had a little Halloween party. It was so fun to see the kids get all dressed up. They were so excited to wear their costumes. Here is the best picture we could get. Dillon-Daphne-Spencer-Wyatt

We played some really fun games. They played pin the nose on the pumpkin, Pass the pumpkin around to music and dug for toys and candy in spaghetti noodles. We also made frames and bracelets. I love celebrating the holidays.

Daphne was really getting into this. She had things she really wanted to find.

We love play group. It is so fun to get together with friends every week.

Carving Pumpkins

For the first time Daphne really got into carving pumpkins. She would watch her cousins carve and she was so excited when it was finally her turn.

Ryker loves being in the pumpkins. He was so sad when we took him out. He hung out in the pumpkin alot that night.

Of course Daphne had to get in the pumpkin too. Yes she is small enough to fit too. Who knows she might be able to fit next year too.

Ben and Daphne are working hard. We carved pumpkins at my parents house this year with the family. We love to find new patterns and spend all night carving. Anything is always an all night project with kids.

Here are the ones we did that night. Sorry the pictures are blurry but I wanted to see the carvings with the lights. I made the Cinderella pumpkin for Daphne. Ben did the ninja turtle. My sister Sarah made the witch and Natalie made Edward. We had a lot of fun.

This picture takes me back to when we were first married. We both actually carved this year. It was a lot of fun. It was a fun way to spend Ben's birthday. At least I hope it was!!

Playing in the leaves

We love when it comes time to rake our leaves every year. We have two huge trees in our front yard that gives us plenty of leaves to rake. Daphne loves to be pulled around the house on the tarp. We take and put our leaves on our garden in the back. Here they both are going for a ride.

Ryker really enjoyed exploring. He would crawl around and pick up one leaf and play with it. At first he was not too sure what he thought.

Here he is looking at his leaf. What made that one so special no one knows.

All Daphne wanted was her picture taken. We are into pictures right now. She will ask me at least once if not more times a day to take a picture of what she is doing. I love the fake smile.

Daphne loved throwing the leaves up in the air. She would throw them at anyone that would get close enough. You gotta watch out for Daphne. You never know what she will do.

Me with my kids. I love being a MOM. I can't believe how fast they are growing up.

Daphne is so fun. What a ball of energy she is. Who knows what we are going to do all winter long. She loves being outside playing and getting dirty. It could be a long winter.

My cute kids!!

Daphne loves wearing "pretty dresses" every day. She know the difference between skirts and dresses and lets me know which one she is in the mood to wear. She has such a fun personality and energy that makes her so fun to be around. We sure love her.

Ryker is always teething. His tongue is feeling his new top tooth that finally came in. Most of the pictures of him this last month shows his tongue. He has a hard time teething. But he is such a good sport about it. He has such a laid back attitude that makes him so easy going. I love that about Ryker.

I love being the mother of these cute kids. They bring so much Joy and Happiness into my life. What a great opportunity to raise children, hard but great.

Ben defended his THESIS!!!

After a long summer of working on his THESIS Ben has now defended it. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. We are now almost done with Graduate school. He has a few more corrections to make and then the THESIS will be signed off. What will it be like to have Ben out of school? Who knows? He has been going to school since we were married. I am excited for him to start doing Therapy. He has worked so hard and put in so much time. He is a huge example to me. Thanks for being the best DAD and GRADUATE STUDENT ever!! We all love you very much.

American West Heritage Center

For Play group we went to the American West Heritage Center for a fun filled day. Here is Daphne and Wyatt on the train.

The train was really a hit. They went around and around and were able to see all these fun decorations for Halloween.

They had a big giant slide that you could go down. Here I am with Daphne. Sorry the picture is dark but it was a really cold morning and gloomy day.

This was the highlight of the day for Daphne. She could had spent all her time jumping off the straw bales into a big pile of lose straw. She thought it was great. I was impressed with how high she would jump.

Spencer-Daphne-Dillon in the corn maze.

I made her take a picture with her MOM. It is so fun to go out and do these fun adventures with her. Ben stayed home with Ryker which made it so nice.

Daphne loved the straw so much we went back later that night with Ben. I wanted to show him how well she jumped. He got a great picture of her in the air. She would spread her feet as she jumped. We have a jumper on our hands.
