Our chickens are growing!!

When the chickens got too big to be in the garage Grandpa took the chickens to the barnyard. This was our first trip to see the chickens there. As you can see they grow fast. Daphne was still excited to catch and hold them.

All the chickens were huddled in the corner. We get to see the chickens once a week. I am amazed with how much they change.

Ryker is either picking up the straw or trying to get the food out of the feeder. He also likes the water can.

Bringing Chickens home to our House

Grandma and Grandpa talked Daphne into bringing chickens home to our house. She wanted to bring 7 chickens here. We are so glad we brought them home. Daphne had the time of her life.

Ryker would sit and watch Daphne. We had to get the chickens out only when Ryker was sleeping.

These were a great pet for Daphne. She would get them in and out of the box all day long. We would have to put the chickens in time out so they would get a rest from Daphne. I would take care of all the poop while Daphne got to play. What an arrangement for her huh? My family was amazed with how well she handled them. We really had a lot of fun, but I was REALLY excited to take them back to my parents house.

Fun in the Barnyard

Daphne has been wanting to ride the horses every time we go to Grandpa Mabey's house. Jeff was on spring break so we had the chance to ride. Daphne and Ryker playing on the wagon waiting for the horses to be saddled. I LOVE this picture of them!!

This was the first time Daphne rode in the buddy saddle. She was so proud of herself. We were so proud of her too. We are going to have a fun summer.

Ryker wanted his turn too.

A Mabey Family project-- CHICKENS!!!

My family decided to get chickens this year. Here we all are picking up our 75 chickens at the store.

All the kids had a chance to hold the chickens.

Daphne showing off all the chickens in the box. She was so excited because she got to ride home in the car with them. They sat right next to her.

We were not sure what to expect with Daphne. She is not always a fan of animals. This was the first time she held the baby chicks by herself. I think she was excited!!

We knew Ryker would jump right in. We really had to watch him because he would pick them up.

The chickens lived in Grandma and Grandpa Mabey's garage.

Daphne feeding the chickens. She really enjoyed feeding these chickens. She would have spent the whole day out in the garage if we would have let her.

It's baby lamb time again!!!

We LOVE Spring.
We have had so much fun with the baby lambs this year.

Ryker and Daphne have fed them many times.
Ryker just loves them.

Their favorite thing to do is play in the field.
Thanks Grandpa Farmer for letting them come in and help??

I love this picture. Daphne is helping Ryker try and catch the lambs.

I am so impressed with Ryker. He loves animals and is not afraid at all. He was riding the sheep like he does the horse. He loves it.

Feeding the sheep. Thanks again Grandpa. We have had so much fun playing with the sheep. Thanks for letting us come and invade you!!

Spokane Washington-Visiting Friends

I decided to take the kids and fly to Washington to see one of my best friends, Heather. Her Husband was out of town for school so it was just the two of us with the kids. Here we are on the airplane. Daphne thought this was the greatest ever. She had her own desk with her own drink and snacks. Could it get any better?

What an adventure we had. Here are all the kids in their pajamas. They were all under 3!!

We went to a park and got to go on this awesome slide. Daphne still asks if we can go to the park with the wagon slide.

Playing in the park

We still had snow in Utah so this was Ryker's first experience at the park. As you can see in all the pictures he was having the time of his life!!

We were brave and took all the kids swimming one night. It was so much fun but a lot of work.

We had so much fun. Here we are right before we left. It was time since Brody and Daphne could not even look at each other without yelling. All in all they were great. Thanks Brody for letting us all invade your house and play with all your toys.

Ryder (4 months) and Ryker(14 months)
Thanks Heather for letting us come and stay. Daphne still talks about it and wants to come back. We had a great time. It was so fun to see you!! I am so grateful for your friendship.

I love spending one-on-one time with my kids. Here I am with Daphne.
It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. It was so nice to get out of Logan for a while.

Pizza Plus

We took a tour of a local pizza place. They showed the kids how to make pizza and let them decide what kind of pizza they wanted to make. After the demonstration they were able to eat the pizza they made.

Daphne eating pizza.

Fynlee and Daphne playing dress-ups. We are really into dressing up every day. Daphne will always be found in a skirt or dress. I have to do some major convincing to have it any other way. I really can't complain because that is what really helped with potty training. She did not want to get those skirts dirty!!

The Fire Station

We went and saw all the firetrucks at the fire station. Daphne is up inside sitting in the truck. They gave each of the kids a fun hat to take home. Ryker has LOVED the hat!!
